This website is operated by Dataweb Business Services Limited (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08444080, whose registered office is 58-60 Wetmore Road, Burton On Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 1SN. What personal data we collect
- Information you give us directly. If you contact us by email or telephone, we hold the contact details you provide and the content of your enquiry — typically your name, email address, telephone number, the organisation you represent, and what you are asking about.
- Client and supplier contact data. Where we provide services under a contract, we hold business contact details for the individuals we deal with, along with correspondence relating to that work.
- Technical data. Our web server records standard information about requests made to this site, including IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. This is generated automatically by the hosting infrastructure and is used for security and for keeping the site running.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use this website to build advertising profiles of visitors.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to enquiries — our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To provide our services and administer contracts — performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in managing a client relationship where the contract is with the organisation rather than with you personally.
- To keep the site secure and operational — our legitimate interest in protecting our systems.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.
Cookies
This site sets cookies that are necessary for it to function, including cookies used by the WordPress platform and by our page-caching and performance software. If you leave a comment or log in to the site, WordPress may set cookies to remember that. These are not used to track you across other websites.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working correctly.
Work we carry out for clients
Where we manage online advertising or information security work for a client, we may process personal data held in that client’s own systems and advertising accounts. In that situation the client is the data controller and we act as a processor on their documented instructions, under a written agreement. We do not use that data for our own purposes, and we do not transfer it to anyone other than the client and the platforms the client has instructed us to use.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only where it is necessary: with our web hosting and IT providers, who process it on our behalf in order to run this site and our systems; with professional advisers such as our accountants; and where we are required to do so by law. Any provider acting on our behalf is bound to use the data only for the purpose we have specified.
International transfers
Some of the service providers we rely on operate outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Records relating to a contract, and records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes, are retained for six years after the end of the relationship. Server logs are retained for a short period only.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you; to have inaccurate data corrected; to ask us to erase it or to restrict how we use it; to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests; and, in some cases, to receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email stevegibson@datawebit.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would ask that you raise it with us first so that we have the chance to put it right.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
