Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, organisation, job title, work email, service interest, challenge, desired outcome, timescale, budget band and an optional supporting file. We also process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as server logs and anti-spam verification data.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use enquiry information to understand and respond to prospective client requirements, take steps requested before entering into a contract, administer client relationships and protect the website from abuse. Personal information is shared only where necessary with service providers supporting website hosting, email delivery, security, analytics or other functions actually configured on the site, and with professional advisers or authorities where required. Processors and international transfers must be reviewed before launch and whenever services change.
How long we keep information
The website is designed not to create a WordPress database record of enquiry-form content. Form submissions are emailed to Dataweb and any temporary uploaded file is deleted from the web server after processing. Business correspondence is retained only for as long as needed for the enquiry, contractual, legal, security or record-keeping purpose for which it is held. Specific retention periods should be aligned to Dataweb’s wider retention schedule.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal information, object to processing, receive portable data, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. Contact Dataweb through the enquiry form to exercise a right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Automated decisions
The website does not make decisions about people that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Anti-spam systems may automatically reject suspected automated submissions; a person can contact Dataweb by post if a genuine enquiry is incorrectly blocked.
